Hopefully this post will find everyone happy and healthy. We've been busy and trying to stay warm. Haha...you'd think that after living in Utah for 17 years that I would be use to the cold, but NOPE! Oh well, such is life. Thank goodness for our warm, cozy fireplace. So here are a few things that we have been up to...

Dear God,
Please untie the knots that are in my mind, my heart, and my life.
Remove the have nots, cannots, and do nots.
Erase the will nots, may nots, might nots that may find a home in my heart.
Release me from the could nots, would nots, should nots that obstruct my life...
And most of all, Dear God, I ask that you remove from my mind, my heart, and my life all of the "am nots" that I have allowed to hold me back.
Especially the thought that I am not good enough.

My wonderful cousin, Simone, introduced me to Pinterest & I AM HOOKED!!! Basically, from time to time, I'm going to post some of the things that catch my eye. :)
On more than one occasion in my life I have come to the realization that I am not where I want to be. People may be truly amazing, but just not right for me. I then tend to worry so much about how to change things without hurting those I truly care about; but, unfortunately, that is not always possible. There is always sorrow, hurt, betrayal. Contention eats me alive. I am no where near perfect. I have never claimed to be. I am constantly making mistakes, but I do try to apologize quickly when I am wrong. Unfortunately again, just because I am ready to apologize, doesn't always mean that I will be forgiven. I can't control this. I can't change it. What I do know is that life truly is too short to hold on to the bad. Because when you think about it, how WOULD you feel if that life was ended in an instant and you no longer had the opportunity to make amends? I truly hope that everyone can find peace in their hearts and joy in their lives.
Not going to lie, this has been a long & hard road to travel. I'm trying to keep my eye on the prize and make it over these last few hurdles to the finish line...I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.... 
As per usual, Disney will release a coupon for the movie. It is rumored that it is just going to be $8 (normally it is $10), but we will see! Either way, I'm happy to save any money I can:)

Reflections--
The boys both entered the Reflections contest this year. Aidan did an amazing origami display. This kid NEVER ceases to amaze me. He found how to make these tanks and fighter jets online & then constructed the entire piece by himself. Honestly, I was shocked that he didn't win first prize.
Regardless, it was absolutely creative and AMAZING.
Dylan's entry was for photography.
We entered the pictures that he took while we were on our frog hunting adventure up in the canyon. The picture we entered was one of Aidan hanging from a tree.
Needless to say, Dylan was TICKED that he didn't win first prize either. Apparently, we were told the judges thought the picture was OF HIM & not taken by him.
Oh well, we'll chalk it all up as a learning experience.
Haha...as you can see he was MUCH happier after since he got to go to Jump On It! The day was saved!
Pinewood Derby--
This was Dylan's first year to be able to compete in the Pinewood Derby.
Older brother, Aidan, was old hat at the competition, but Dyl was a bit nervous. No worries...

The track was pretty hi-tech with all of the races being monitored by computers and the winners displayed on a movie theater type screen...the kids loved it!

..Yahoo! 2nd place!!!
